
National Study tour of MDG-01 was held from 13th March 2006 to 17th March 2006. The objective of the tour was to impart complete practical knowledge on all aspects of the functioning of the democratic institutions of our country. The Participants visited both the houses of the Parliament (Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha) and witnessed its live sessions. Participants also visited Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training and interacted with its officials to understand the functioning of the BPST. Participants were also exposed to various political parties National offices and their functioning. Various Eminent leaders such as Shri. A. B. Bardhan, Shri. Vijay Malhotra, Shri. Oscar Fernandes, Shri. George Fernandes and many others interacted with participants in their party offices. Participants could understand the functioning of the Indian democracy from the National Capital.
Participants also undertook the visit to the Rashtrapati Bhavan on 17th March 2007. Participants could understand the functioning of the Highest Constitutional office of the country.
After this successful visit to the ‘Corridors of Power’ participants returned for their further academic and practical training at MIT School of Government, Pune on March 18th 2007. |
