The morning of the 23rd began with a visit to the Raj Ghat premises where the participants paid homage at the Samadhis (Shakti Sthal, Veer Bhumi) of Gandhiji, Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. Thereafter, all headed to the very well known NGO called the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) where the participants were to have half-a-day of programmes. Founded by the eminent environmentalist, the late Mr. Anil Aggarwal, CSE has recently been in news for its 'pesticide' crusade against the cola giant - PepsiCo India. It was thus natural for the participants to have been excited about this visit. But, the time spent there gave them an idea of the impressive range of their work sphere right from rain-water harvesting to work against air pollution to the setting of a food testing laboratory. The Deputy Director Mr. Chandrabhushan was kind enough to have given a guided tour of the CSE campus, which included their trail of rain-water harvesting and their impressive library, followed by a speech and presentation, followed finally by a sumptuous lunch.

Armed with the knowledge of CSE's unique knowledge dissemination approach, the party headed towards the next big storehouse of knowledge - the National Museum. Through the floors of ancient Indian archaeology, to the painting galleries, to even the show of artillery, the hour at the museum kept flinging the visitors back and forth in time till the party was given the given free four thirty onwards.
