MAEER’s MIT School of Government conducts PRESS CONFERENCE to announce the 2nd BHARATIYA CHHATRA SANSAD (Indian Student Parliament)
at Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, (Mumbai).

~A first of its kind initiative for channelizing the energies of the youth towards strengthening the democratic fabric of our nation~

Mumbai, 14th September, 2011: MAEER’s MIT School of Government, Pune announced its 2nd Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (Indian Student Parliament) which is to be hosted from 10-12 January, 2012 at MIT Campus Pune in association with Ministry of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra and Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Maharashtra.  The announcement of the parliament was done in presence of dignitaries like Hon'ble Shri. Rajesh Tope, Minister of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra, Dr. Rajan M. Velukar, Vice Chancellor, Mumbai University, Shri. Tushar Gandhi, President, Mahatma Gandhi Foundation, Dr. Jabbar Patel, Veteran Film Maker, Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President, World Peace Center (Alandi), MAEER's MIT, Pune, Vikram Kale(MLC), Shri. Abhijit Panse, President, Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena, Maharashtra, Shri Mahesh Tapase NCP Spokesperson Maharastra, Tejas Deshpande, - Former University Representative, Mumbai and Shri. Rahul Vishwanath Karad, Chief Initiator & Dean, MITSOG. Pune. The conference took place at Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh,Aazad Maidan (Mumbai).

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul V. Karad- Chief Convenor & Executive Director, MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions, Chief Initiator & Dean, MIT-SOG said,As a unique platform for student leaders, I see the success of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad as a beginning of a new revolution in the country. The overwhelming participation last year has highlighted the need for such a forum where the youth of the country share their concern on some issues and question to seek solutions. It is very heartening that the Sansad could facilitate dialogue between these youth leaders and some eminent leaders and activists from different walks of life. It has strengthened our resolve to continue this mission until we achieve our goal of national development.”
